ACURHYAL is a new form of hyaluronic acid produced by sonication. This is a unique process that uses ultrasonic sound waves to break down hyaluronic acid to a very specific size. The result is a very accurate molecule of 15,2 kDa (38 monomers) with specific biological properties.
The most common method of breaking down hyaluronic acid is through enzymatic degradation using hyaluronidase. However, this process often results in an inconsistent molecular weight distribution, which limits the production of low-molecular-weight fragments capable of stimulating collagen synthesis. The variability in fragment size can compromise biological activity, reducing the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid in regenerative and anti-aging applications.
Alternatively, controlled mechanical methods such as sonication can produce more uniform low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, which has been shown to enhance skin regeneration, increase fibroblast activity, and promote collagen production more effectively than enzymatically degraded HA
